....I'm totally with you on the ticket prices.

A friend of mine took his son to see VH here in Chicago a few weeks ago, and
tickets were in the ballpark of what you described.....not to mention the
$75 hoodie and $35 tee. I swear the guy must have dropped at least $600 on
the night. Haven't even found time to listen to the new album yet, seeing
as it's tax season and all, but the tunes I've heard on Youtube are pretty
good.

I stick to local bar bands, friends of mine and/or their kids who play the
occasional show. Haven't mustered up the nerve to join them on stage yet.

I saw the Coop 15 years ago, great show. 25 years ago I saw DLR on his solo
tour with Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan for $17. Now you'd spend that much
for 2 beers.
